Discipline costs target

Daily result: £25.54

Today I found again a real struggle. There were long gaps between races and this led to a lack of discipline and as such cost me my daily £20 target. The beginning of the day was very slow for me with only a few opportunities. I was then presented with a great chance and took £6.20 from it though this should have been much much more. I laid the horse and it then set about drifting once it was up to the £6 level it started to slow so I took my money however in hindsight I should have held it for a little longer to see what was going to happen with the price. It ended up drifting from the 4.40 I laid it at to around 7.4 - 7.6 - I had greened up at just 4.80. A touch annoying but £6 is not to be sniffed at.

In total I traded 18 markets, won on 11, broke even on 6 and lost on just the one. However, it should have been zero losses on the day as my discipline slipped and after not being involved in a market for sometime I decided to try and jump in to the market in front of a large sum of money to try and steal a quick tick. The opposite happened and I lost a tick and enough to cost me hitting the £20 target. But I am still happy with the result for the day as the target is there and if I achieve it I am happy if I don't I am happy. I have stopped trying to force the issue of hitting the daily target ever since the losses I incurred a while back after being with a whisker of hitting my target then setting about trying to hit it and by forcing the situation I lost so I now am not bothered by them.

I plan to trade some of Wolverhampton tonight before the football starts so will update again later.

*******
I traded a few races this evening and had a look in on the racing at Dundalk which I wish I hadn't bothered with. In total I traded 8 races this evening, won on 5, broke even on 1 and lost on two of the three I did at Dundalk. Added another £7.39 to the day which is all good and brings the balance nearer to £500. Pretty happy with my trading of late and have that £30 daily amount in my targets.
